Dominique Christian, born in Chicago, IL, raised on the Southwest Side of Madison, WI, earned a Master of Science/Social Work. For the past 20 years, Dominique has engaged in social advocacy. Her work centers on the intersectionality of socially excluded community members, racism, and oppression. She uses her lived experience as a tool to influence liberation and provoke empowerment. Her expertise extends to supporting youth in the juvenile justice system and foster care. Since graduating, she has earnestly worked towards elevating voices of color. As the Principal of AYA Advocacy Group, Dominique is a skilled public speaker, group facilitator, program developer, and trainer. She believes that as a community, “we must trust the story of those who lived to tell it, not the beholder, no matter how uncomfortable it makes us.”
