Kathy began her career at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in 1993 focused on Diversity and Inclusion. Kathy’s anti-violence work began in 2002 when working for Harbor House Domestic Abuse Programs in Appleton for 8 years as the Community Education and Outreach Advocate. Kathy also founded the Fox Valley LGBTQ Anti-Violence Project. In her most visible role to date, Kathy spent 7 years as the City of Appleton’s Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator. Kathy provides numerous training workshops and educational presentations on LGBTQ issues, workplace discrimination, violence in communities, racism, developing resiliency, LGBTQ aging, refugee resettlement and various other presentations about working with marginalized communities. Today Kathy is the Director of Diverse & Resilient’s statewide anti-violence program called Room to Be Safe with offices in Milwaukee and Appleton. She is board member of Planned Parenthood Wisconsin and co-chair for the Governor’s Council on Domestic Abuse.
