Amanda Martinez, originally from the Fox Valley area, graduated with a Bachelor in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Through her undergraduate experience and involvement in various campus positions she became passionate about social justice issues and gained an interest in becoming an advocate for underrepresented populations. Currently, Amanda is attending the Master of Social Work program at UW Madison in the area of policy and administration. Additionally, she is interning at Kids Forward focusing on racial equity and policy advocacy work. In the future she hopes to be involved in a macro focused position that empowers communities from all backgrounds and identities.
