Leland Pan

Leland Pan is a school social worker at La Follette High School and an elected member of the Board of Directors for Madison Teachers, Inc., the educator union at Madison Metropolitan School District. Madison Teachers, Inc. is affiliated with the Wisconsin Education Association Council and the National Education Association (NEA), and Leland is a member of the NEA Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus. Previously, he was a member of the American Federation of Teachers through the Teaching Assistants’ Association (AFT Local #3220) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Dane County Board Supervisor for District 5 where he served on the Public Protection & Judiciary Committee. He has also been a racial equity trainer and a teacher in Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee, he also co-founded Friends of Valley Park, a park volunteer group in the Piggsville neighborhood on the near north side of Milwaukee.
