Maggie Smith is a school social worker at Leopold Elementary School in the Madison Metropolitan School District (MMSD). She has been a school social worker for 8 years starting her career in the Wauwatosa School District. She is a faculty representative for her union, Madison Teachers, Inc. (MTI) and serves on the Diversity and Equity Committee. Madison Teachers, Inc. is affiliated with the Wisconsin Education Association Council and the National Education Association (NEA), and Maggie is a member of NEA’s Black Caucus.
